Competition refresher magazine published this article page no 29 the ministry of defense has signed a contract with hindustan aeronautics limited (hal) to procure six dornier-228 aircraft for the indian air force (iaf) on 10 march 2023 at a cost of rs 667 crore. this aircraft has been used by the indian air force for route transport activities and to meet communication requirements. in addition they have also been used for the training of transport pilots of the indian air force. the current batch of six aircraft are being procured with advanced and fuel efficient engines with five bladed composite propellers competition refresher magazine subscription.
